In order to devise this list we used the urban population organized by the top ten cities and then used our own livability index as found on our site to reorganize the list. Be warned, there is alot of competition within this list!

We start our journey for the most livable and most populated cities of America in tenth place. The city of San Jose which boasts a population size of 1,013,240 residents. The city scored a grand total of 58/100 for livability based on our data. The biggest negative factor for living in San Jose is the cost of living. Although, education standards and crime rates are also below average.

San Diego, California

Next up in joint ninth and eighth  place for the most livable and most populated city, it is Los Angeles. With a population size of 3,898,747 and arguably one of the most famous cities of America, this city is truly special. However, in terms of livability the city scored 63/100. The basis for this cost is the cost of living and education standards were about average and crime rates being below average. Whilst livability is not the best out there, the trade-up for opportunities and the sights of LA might make it more livable for some than others.

Also in eighth and ninth place, we have San Diego as the next most livable and most populated US city. The city contains a population size of 1,386,932 and scored a livability score of 63/100. Again the scores for cost of living and education were just below average whilst crime rates were better compared to the average. So whilst San Diego has a smaller population size compared to Los Angeles, in terms of livability it scored the same.
